The Competition is open for applicants of any nationality. The age limit of participants must be not older than 35 years inclusive at the date of the opening ceremony of the Competition (10th of October, 2019)

Japan Piano Open • International Piano Competition 2019 makes part of our prestigious 14 ways to the final stage of the "Classic Piano" International Piano Competition which will be held in 2021 in Dubai. (www.14waystodubai2021.com)

The best 5 from each of these 14 competitions will be invited to participate in the final stage of the "Classic Piano" International Piano Competition 2021 – which will be held in 4 Rounds, with a total prize fund of Eur 300,000 (www.classicpiano.eu)

Repertoire【課題曲】

1st Round 25 minutes

Programme is to be chosen freely and can be of minimum 2 to maximum 3 different composers, but must include:

  • One Prelude & Fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier (Book I or II) by J.S. Bach
  • One Composition by F. Chopin, F. Liszt, J. Brahms, R. Schumann, F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy, C. Frank, A. Scriabrin or S. Rachmaninoff

Final Round 40 minutes

Programme is to be chosen freely and can be of minimum 2 to maximum 3 different composers, but must include:

プログラムは以下の内容を含む、2人、あるいは3人の異なる作曲家による作品で構成すること。

  • J.S.バッハ 平均律クラヴィーア曲集第1巻または第2巻より任意の1曲。(プレリュードとフーガ)
  • 次の作曲家による任意の1曲。
    F.ショパン、F.リスト、J.ブラームス、R,シューマン、F.メンデルスゾーン、C.フランク、A.スクリャービン、S.ラフマニノフ

本選 40分以内

プログラムは以下の内容を含む、2人、あるいは3人の異なる作曲家による作品で構成すること。

  • アレクセイ・ショー Childhood Memories Suite より任意の3曲。
  • 次の作曲家による任意のソナタ1曲。（全楽章）
    F.シューベルト、J.ハイドン、W.A.モーツァルト、L.v.ベートーヴェン
